Two much crank pressure... need help

I am no good at righting these posts ....just wish i could call someone...I will try to explane what i think is wrong .....and tell u what i have done so far..... when i take off the oil cap it blows off in my hand .....and there is never any oil in the fill tube ....so i have been told the oil is not returning to the tank .....first i though there was to much oil ....so i completely darned the tank and crank took off oil filter....new filter k@n 170c 3 quarts new amsoil sin 20 50 .....back together took 4 ride ....took off oil cap blows off in hand no oil in fill tube....made some calls asked some questions......next took out screen on crank ...looks good .. cleaned put back in ..then took out two bolts on top of oil pump ...was told they are possible stuck .....one had a ..looks like a ball barring ...the other had a shape of a bullet casing ...both with spring on top of them ....looked ok to me put back together ...took for ride...oil cap blow off in hand no oil in fill tub......ok fokes what do i try now 2005 big dog chopper 117 s@s .........i will try to check post ...not shore how these works or u can call 570-579-6222 keith

Check the Check Valve on the rear head make sure its not on backwards (White side towards the head is the correct way). You could have bad head gasket, head gasket on backwards, cracked piston, wrong oil filter, clogged or pinched oil return line. Also make sure your oil cap it screwed in and not just pushed in. Take you time and let us know what you have done to the Dog in the past, or did you just buy this bike, how many miles on it.

like Carlos said, is the bike new to you? do you have any history on it? has it had any major work done to it that you know of? did this just all of a sudden happen or has it been this way for a while? is it making any bad noise? when you take the cap off and it blows off in your hand, does oil come out with the pressure?

ok thanks 4 the help yes new to me ..but one of my old racing friends ...bike did not run when i got it...it was starter and the start buttons were bad.... bike now starts and runs great ...no taps pings or bad noise....just afraid pressure is going to blow something ....the only other thing i had done was change the main chain case fluid and adjust chain in case

Well if it's not making noise oil must be circulating.

Might be good to get a mechanical oil pressure gauge piped in along with that oil pressure sensor just so you can see what the pressure is.

I'm a little confused how oil pressure cap pops off in your hand? I thought 05 choppers had a screw type and it wasn't rubber oil cap?

There should be 3 lines on the oil tank. Suction, Return and Vent. There's a vent line from the Cam chest back to the oil tank. Is that clear?

Yes.. Blow air through them would be good.

Which engine is installed? If there are 117"
1. Check the breather hose. Check the one-way valve on the rear breather.
-- Is the air coming out of the rear breather?
-- Rear breather sucks air?
-- Front (vacuum) breather connected?
2. Check the compression in the cylinders.
if 107"
1. In what head is screwed the banjo bolt of the breather?
2. The lower breather (the lower rear of the crankcase) exhales?
3. Check the compression.
After the checks, write the exact information. Extremely accurate.
