my computer stays on with key off. lots of red lights. turn key on I get nothing. leave key on disconnect battery then re connect battery starts right up. shut off back to square 1 any suggestions would be appreciated

What year is the bike and what EHC is in it?
How long have you had the bike and when did this start happening?
Did you do anything to it recently?

2007 not sure about the EHC, bought it brand new in 2007, and just did the alternator

Well if you bought it new and haven't changed it, then you have the original EHC, when you say alternator, do you mean the voltage regulator under the motor in the front?

the actual stator, and rotor and regulator, we Replaced with a compufire 3 phase charging system
