Starter parts....

hello all, I'm looking for a parts breakdown or an exploded view of the big dog 2kw starter. I took my starter to get rebuilt at a shop but was told it was going to be over 200 for parts and labor so I picked it up and did it myself. Problem is when I picked it up he had it apart and gave me a box of parts. I ordered a new brush holder from WSW and cleaned everything up as best I could. I put it back together but there are 4 little parts left in the box of parts and I don't know if they came out of the starter or just junk in the box he put it in. I did put it back in the bike (05 ridgeback) and it starts, but sometimes just clicks. Hit the start button a few times and it starts. I do get 12 volts at green wire when start button is pressed just want to make sure I didn't forget anything. Thank you

Well you said you replaced the brush assembly that's one of the parts you got..although that thing is about look like its been sitting in a box for about 30 years on a shelf. No way that was in your starter would rust like that unless your bike was sitting in a pond

The other part holds a gear in the starter but I don't know how it would work at all without it.

Yes the parts are round but like a pencil eraser. There is a big gear and small gear I put back in the starter. Are you saying the plastic piece in the picture holds the bigger gear?

Yep the small one goes on the top of the starter armature then the gear in the middle this piece goes in the middle of it. It holds it in place. But your missing a couple small dowels or pencil erasers lol that sit in that cage, those dowels slide into the cage so it spins smoothly. You are missing 3 dowels
