Tire wear

Somebody out there must know about the way to tell when your tread is wearing to thin.don't want to change the rear tire to soon,or even worse to late.

When you hit the wear bars, it won't pass inspection if you have inspections in your state, and I'm sure any tire shop will tell you when

It's almost dead center of this picture and dead center of the tire. it's inside the tread. The horizontal bar going opposite the tread pattern.

I went on a 1750 mile trip once on my Daytona and when I got back home, I had an 8 inch long area of the belt showing. This is too long but the Avons on the Daytona 675 are very sticky and soft. The Big Dog has about 9,000 miles on the back tire and is looking bald so I plan on changing it out this Month. Especially, since I don't even have wear bars left.
