To make a long story short about 10 years ago my father took off the speedometer of his 2002 big dog pit bull. I am now trying to restore the bike and since I have gotten the bike up and running I would like to put the speedometer back on it. The only problem is I have three connectors that aren't connected into anything and I have no idea what they each go to. If any of you guys could tell me what the connectors are for I would really appreciate it.20170501_182400.jpg 20170501_182343.jpg 20170501_182426.jpg

If ya can wait till tomorrow , I'll pull the dash and get some pics for ya . Meanwhile, the long white plug goes to the turn signal , neutral light, oil pressure light l e d strip . Can't remember for sure but think the 3 terminal might be for the speedo ,

The flat connector in your first picture plugs into the back of the dash board into 8 tiny spade connectors, just below the speedometer. Powers up the speedometer, oil light, high and low beam and turn signal indicators

The next two plugs, plug into the two long wires that are permately attached to the back of the vdo speedometer. Can't miss them once the dash is removed.

Make sure you clean up the pins on those connectors first. Also what was the reason it was disconnected?

Thank you so much for this information. I had been trying to find out the wires by searching online but couldn't find anything so this is amazing that I now know what they are.

The reason my father took the speedometer off was because he wanted to clean the tanks due to it having clogged the carb about 10 years ago and for some reason the over flow for the carb was located above the exhaust so it caught fire and ever since then it has been sitting. Now that I got the bike working I would like to put the speedo on but my father has no idea what the cables went to so all of these replies have really helped me out big time. I will definitely make sure to clean them before connecting them as well.
