Right Hand circuit board

I'm in the same boat as many with a right hand board issue. $250 for a new set is a lot, but after talking to Derek I get it. Glad we have them to support us. The new style on the right side has a disconnect for the brake switch; most of the issues are with the right side and the brake switch pulling off the board. I soldered mine a few days ago but killed the board in the process. @Mr. Wright is able to fix them with his much higher level soldering skills than I have, so I'm zipping mine to him today with a bottle of Denver's finest Rye speed lube.

I think you could solder the brake wires straight to the connector on board side, just check which pins they connect, you can follow the coppers inside the board, I think it was to both ends of the connector

yeah it needs just a bit of solder in a certain spot we think but I'm just not good enough with a solder gun to get it right

Yea those brake connectors SUx. If they lift just a little and your throttle isn't adjusted forward then the feral will catch on the brake connector. Ha I super glued my connector to the board problem solved.

Just had this EXACT issue with a brand new god damn board. Broke a lead off the board too on the brake switch! Even if I have the plug all the way down against the board it still catches it. What was your fix??

I'm livid. I just spent $250 on new board with Donna. Got them this morning, put the right one in. Tested it. Buttoned it up and felt the throttle drag. Opened it back up and boom already broken off the board. Terrible design.

solder it directly to the pins.

Looks like your throttle ferrell chewed up the JST connector. I've never had that issue before but you do have to be cautious stuffing that wire back in there.

Put a dab of superglue to lock the connector down to the board so it doesn't lift and adjust your throttle so the feral is forward as possible and it will miss the brake connector

Well that defeats the entire purpose of the new design so that it can be unplugged...I've been messing with this for an hour, there just really isn't room in there for the plug and the throttle.

Looks like the new boards have the connector coming off at the wrong angle, I put the epoxy on but you can see the different angle of the wire.

Yep, those are total bs. You have to carefully bent them all to fit. Poor design. That is one of the reasons I'm seriously thinking of going oldskool. Or semi-oldskool

Clothes pins and rubber bands, get r done.

The clothes pin was to hold the wire until the epoxy dried and the rubber bands are actually electrical tape to hold the hand control in place cause I only have 2 hands

No rubbing on my board, that's the OEM board and the scratches are where I sanded the board for the epoxy to grip, the OEM boards had the wires soldered on, I was only showing you this for reference of the wire in regards to the 6 pin, they are running parallel.

Ah gotcha I thought that was a rub from the throttle. I see the angle, yes. Thanks.

Spoke with Derek @bigdogpartsking today and he's sending me a new board. Certainly have to make sure that plug is parallel to the throttle path on initial install. We think it got bent on the first try (or maybe during shipping) and that was it. He's sold thousands of these with no issues so I'm just a fluke. Great guys and fun to chat about what he's done with the parts biz over the years for us all! He's got some cool factory issue fixes in the works!

Just got my repaired board back from Mr. Wright. Along with upgraded and freshly painted electrical covers. Helped me get my K-9 back on the road, again!
