BDM Wires Plus upgrade

Got a shop installing the BDM Wires Plus kit on the bike. Everything is in and the bike runs and seems like all is working. However while he had it on the dyno to tune, he said the low beam shut off (can't recall if he said the high beam works or not).

He said with the bulb removed, he's got good voltage, but when plugged in, it doesn't work.

Anyone have an idea of where a good place to start would be?

Hate to be captain obvious but if you got good voltage up until you plug the light in. Try a new bulb?

Really nothing else If truly you have correct voltage.

Check the ground wire though. Hopefully shop is measuring voltage using the ground in the bulb connector and not something else.

Bulb is good... I've got the HID from Jake and they tried another known good bulb an it does not work.

And when I bought the kit (some 4 years ago), yes, I had done a lot of looking around and it was the kit to go with then. But of course now I see the new Electronik kit which would have been a quick and easy swap... but too late for that.

Spade connector may not be getting tight connection, or maybe you have some crud or corrosion in there causing poor connection .. maybe?

Are you still running OEM?
Yes!!!! I must be one of the lucky ones.... still on the original EHC. I did buy a spare EHC years ago and I sold it to someone in the Forum who needed it. Someone from Europe but I can´t recall who he was... he was happy though as it worked just fine and he went back on the road the same day he received it in the mail. :old2:

You may want to check the headlight connection. They have been known to melt, especially the stock connection.
