Fork dust seals............................. how to remove????

Well thanks to all the advice I've managed to acquire via the members on this site I now have one more question.
I need to replace the fork seals but cannot see how the chrome dust covers come off.
I have a workshop manual for the bike but there is no description given just an exploded diagram which serves me no purpose.
Are they screwed on or push fit or something else.
Obviously I don't want to start trying to remove them with out knowing and does anyone have any tips on how to remove or pitfalls to watch out for.

As always, thanks in advance.

Well........................................... after copious amounts of gaffer tape and some serious pipe grips they're off. Unfortunately they have suffered some grip marks but hey ho it's only cosmetic and I shall hunt some new ones down.

The Kaptin has them. There are two different thread sizes, so make sure you get the right ones.

I think all the late questions have been already answered looong time ago... all the basic information needed has been saved already on the How-To Section.

It actually is my favorite Section. :old2:

Clean the threads up really well and add some anti seize (just a bit) when you put them back on. Did the forks on my mastiff a few weeks ago and took the caps off today to dry the water out and they came off perfectly

Have doused in graphite grease so hopefully will come off in future when I change the seals.
