Google starter repair in your area. A local shop can rebuilt it with no problems. I take mine to a local shop and the last one cost me $44 to rebuild. They are an auto shop but a starter is a starter... You cut the armature and replace the brushes....
Starter shop around the corner told me they would have no issues with rebuilding mine, 60 bucks, but that's Canadian..so about 2 bucks US..;)

At that price I bet it only includes new contacts and plunger thats it.

If any other parts are worn it will cost ya more. New set of brushes is $20 or so, ,and good luck to them finding the right clutch of that goes bad. The one in our dogs has a non standard bushing, and we also have an oil seal pressed into the end of the clutch assembly. You don't see those on Harley's.

There's a seal on the inside of the nose cone that needs to be replaced and you gotta take the clutch out of the housing pulling out the drive clutch is a fun pain in the arse.

I did mine at Shorty's in Tulsa for $42.00 and he told me NEVER POWER WASH that area where the rubber cable boots for the starter that's what caused my bearing to wear out but learning to to small overhaul at home also.. been in biz 30+ years
