I just took the dog out. As i was riding i noticed my tach LED's were going bright to dim. I have been having a problem with my bright headlight coming on but wrote it off as a bad bulb. Today the brights came on and stayed on. After a while i would try again and the bright lights would not come on again... After awhile the brights would work? So i just got home put the Dog on the trickle charger.... you guys ever hear of anything like this?
Actually when they are not working right it goes like this.
i hit the bright head light button. blue light lights up head light turns bright BUT THEN not a second later they just kick off on their own??

Your LED lights for your tachometer will change intensity according to the surrounding ambient light. If you look at your speedometer housing face, there is a small hole o/a the 7 o'clock position just outside the tachometer ring. Inside that little hole lies a sensor that senses the light outside and changes the intensity of your LED tachometer accordingly. Not sure if this is what you're experiencing or not, but if it is, that is the reason why. Hope this helps.

My 04 chopper did the same thing!!
The dealer changed the tach board and the EHC. Fixed the problem but i had to purchase the parts, it was out of warranty!! Good luck!!

Is there moisture in your speedo ? - That symptom has happened to me when riding in heavy rains - water definitely affects our dogs - mine returns to normal when dried out. Just a thought...hope you get it figured out.
