Yep.. I did! I took her to the beach.. slap me, I know! OK, now that it's done what can I do to get the damn salt stains (?) off of the wheels..

I have no more skin left on my fingers. Have tried mothers and several other aluminum polishers. They all seem to help after 5-6 hours of rubbing. Any other suggestions out there? At the rate I'm going, I will have her all polished in the year 2010!

Have you tried "White Diamond"? I use that on the most pain in the ass stuf and it comes right off fairly easy. The truckers use it a lot to clean up there billet. Good stuff. My opinion.

Once you get them back to new, have you thought about sealing them? Zoop seal is supposed to be a hell of a product and I need to use it on my billet.

For the polishing you could be using your power drill and a Mothers Powerball or any other buffing wheels. I have a whole selection of them and they make it a lot easier.

I have a small powerball. It works but it just will not hit "the hard spots." I normally get frustrated and then start hand rubbing..

Ah - yes!

The price you pay for playing in the sand.

Actually, I trailered the bike to Galveston for our annual one weeek beach rental vacation, beer drinking, fishing excursion. I rode one time and kept her rinsed off and covered the entire week..

Never even hit the beach with her. Just the salt air!

i use california customs purple polish on all my aluminum. it works great on everything. it was designed esp for semi's. been using it for years. also sometimes it helps to use alittle minerial spirits on aluminum to aid in drying
