Street Stuff Motrocylces?

Has anyone used them for service before?

I brought my bike in with the stalling at WOT problem, and then the more recent one, where the bike would not start when it was hot. I took it to Doc's Motorcylces in Waterbury CT (www.docsmc.com). I had taken the bike to them before with good results, and they have been recommended by numerous people to me.

I brought my bike in on April 21st, and they told me it would be about a week and a half. I never heard anything, so I called last Monday. I was told it would looked at last week. Wednesday I get a call going over again the issues I had, and why it was in there. They then said it would be looked at Thursday. I don't hear anything all weekend again. I just call now, and they tell me the bike STILL hasn't been looked at, and it wont be till MAYBE Friday....4 weeks after dropping the bike off. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Street Stuff is the only Big Dog dealer I know of in CT, on the other side of the state (granted CT is not that big...). I made the mistake of opting to go closer to home and not the dealer to begin with. Im just looking for some advice from anyone who might have used them, or any repair shop in CT, as Im ready to go get my bike tonight and take it somewhere else.

Thanks,
Jim

4 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a bike that hasn't even been looked at:down: . Empire Cycles has credibility from the forum, and is the next closest dealer I can think of.

In Jersey, I just got work done from Rock Star Customs....they were outstanding, but too far from you. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Well, I found off the Big Dog website another service shop in CT. I called them, and turns out the BD Dealer that was down in Danbury that went out of business, the 2 mechanics went about 2 miles up the road and opened their own shop. I called them, and was told that they would be able to look at the bike Thursday or Friday (one of the guys was going to Myrtle).

I make arrangements to get my fathers truck, show up at Doc's to pick up my bike, and guess whats on the dyno there. 2 hours after calling and them telling me it wouldn't get looked at till Friday. They had already done some of the little shit and were working on getting the bike to have the same problem (wont start when its hot). They told me the reason the bike didn't get looked at last weekend, is they wanted to have one mechanic Paul look at it. Paul's been working on bikes for 45 years, but is semi-retired and only works 2 days a week. Last week, Paul got sick, and wasn't at work, so I got put off a week.

I ended up leaving the bike with Doc's, they do do great work, just takes awhile to get them do it. I will keep you guys informed on what happens here.

Doesn't it piss you off, that it takes a fire under someone's ass just to get the wheels moving  ... they can feed all the excuses they want, but you still had your bike there for a month. I hope everything works out in the end, and continue to keep us in the loop.
