The tires I just took off my Viper were 17 years old
no dry rot or cracking, but they were only good up to 80mph then I had a vibration
How are Shinko tires working out for those running them?

I need more pictures to decide what to do. If there is a big difference I will stick with the Metzler that wears out too fast.
That happens from the bike sitting to much, and getting a flat spot on the tire.He rides like a Pussy

I was talking about my car but the bike sits off the tires thru winter and then I park it on rubber horse pads any other time, I have them separated in this pic cause the jack won't roll on them.
That happens from the car sitting to much, and getting a flat spot on the tire.

Tru dat, but they only got that way in the last couple years. I always over inflate, 40psi and park it on the rubber also, concrete will speed up the process, next year I will block it up off the tires

Some get 3k from a said tire, some get 8k from same said tire. Attention to pressure, riding style, surface texture and temps are all factors. I read somewhere here that someone was running somewhere around 24ish pounds on a ridged, well that boot aint gonna go 6 or 8000 miles.....tires are like fluids, to each their own

I ran a shinko last season and I probably got near 11K out of it.
Was a real good deal for the price.
Back to an Avon right now -- Love the metzler but they are too wide..

avon 300 is 11 11/16 metz is 15mm wider 10 in rim 36 psi
