Wichita is about as close to center of this country as you can get. So if I can come from Tampa/Norway, Tapio can come from Finland, Franco can come from Spain, there is just no excuse that the peoples republic of calipornia is too far away. It's a once in a lifetime kinda opportunity to meet, greet, hang with, and have a good time with fellow BDM bikers. I will promote it at Bikeweek and hope everybody who attends bike week will do the same. However, turning a thread from a new BDM bagger to a thread about hemorrhoids might not be too inviting to new members on this forum. So leave your stupid comments on FB and lets try to stay focused on why we are on this forum to begin with, shall we?

See ya'll in Wichita.....
Well Kim, I agree with part of that, yes some of our members are going to be there from all over the world, and yes they are lucky enough to be able to, unfortunately some of us, including myself, are not in a position to make it financially, I find it pretty darn arrogant of you to judge anyone that cannot be there, not all of us our as fortunate as you or some of the others here at BDB, but just because we can't be there doesn't mean we don't want to, hell if I had the money to throw down for things like a second bike, or new car, you could bet your ass I'd be there, as far as the hijacking threads goes, if we were all like you and never had any fun here, well I don't know if BDB would be as popular a site, hell that's what makes it great! Anyway, I hope this ain't taken the wrong way, just thought I'd say my peace as you did, have a good night brother!

The fuel cost from where you are and back will be a whopping $251,- on your Mastiff. Luck got zero to do with it, determination got everything to do with it. If you ride over I'll pay half your fuel bill, that leaves you with a total bill of $125,- for a weekend with all the forum members and a weekend with the BDM guys. So, yes, if you can afford a Mastiff you should be in a position to afford $125,- to go there. Deal?

That is a very generous offer coming from you Kim, thank you, and If I can I will take you up on that, if you want, pm me and I can explain further why I am in NO postition to go at this point, When I bought my Mastiff 2 yrs ago things were much better for us financially, since then I can't even afford to register the damn thing, I am behind 2 payments, yes payments, not all of us can buy a $20,000.00 bike outright, my insurance just got cancelled, so do you still think I am full of it when I tell you I am not it any position to be spending money on something like that at this time, now if you feel so compelled to have me there and you can afford to pay all those things for me and for the campsite, fuel, time off work, etc.....Well then we got a deal my friend!

Sorry to hear John, hopefully you'll keep your bike and things will ease up. I just want to see members on here make it there, see their faces, have a good time, and promote the BDM. I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few of the members on here and just wanted everybody else to have the same opportunity. If you can't make, you can't make it, but at least I offered to help out. If things should change, I sure hope you will make it. I have a very strong feeling we have some common friends and I would really like to hang for a beer or two. Do what you can brother, if I can be of any help I am only a PM away....

Thanks Kim, and if by some miracle things change, I will be there without a doubt!

Anyone have an idea on how much these rooms are? The wife and I want to go, I would ride to Dallas from Houston the night of the 22nd and meet up at Strokers at 8 to have kickstand up at 9. B day leave with whomever is leaving from there..
My reservations show $90 per night.

I've been here for over 8 yrs and when you see so many threads repeat themselves for tires, oil, ehc, batteries and jets, it gets really old, but some of us still offer to the best of our knowledge an answer. And over those years I have made many friends here and I for one like to have a little fun ragging on one another from time to time.
As for chasing them off, that's bullshit, many have come here asked a question and were gone. end of story.

With the above stated and moving on, I was looking very much to meeting other members here and after the plans were finalized and the place was picked, I voted NO. I do have the money and the means to be there but this is no 5 star establishment like others only stay in, my wife told me there was no way she would stay in a hunting lodge in a single bed in the middle of nowhere and I should go have fun, but without my partner, I can't see the fun in it. There are many other places I would rather go if I'm going to drive 1200 miles. I could go on and on but I will stop there.
Have fun and enjoy the BDB Unleashed:cheers:
Now as far as that guy with the hemorrhoids,:oldangry: all he might have been looking for was a little relief :oldhardlaugh:

I just like my Freedom
Just for those who don't know. Flint Oak is an INTERNATIONALLY known hunting lodge. That said, I believe the accommodations will be just fine. 5 star? maybe not quite. Google earth the place and see. Looks like a small hotel on site. Anyone who has stayed there, PLEASE chime in. From the looks of their menu, I would say they are used to pleasing the most picky of people? Jmo

Reading some of these posts makes me think about all the times folks have got together in some of the "seedier" places and had a really great time. Maybe it isn't a 5 star, swanky, ritzy place, but I personally have more fun getting together where I don't have to act all dignified and proper. I am going to try really hard to attend, but I can't guarantee I'll be able. I'm hoping things get turned around for some of ya so you can make it. If things don't work out and someone can't go, there should be NO hard feelings toward them. :2cents: End of rant.

I have absolutely no problem with that location, as it is as close to the center of the country as ya can get, and I know I've slept in much worse places. It seems as if everyone is all excited about Daytona, which ,in my opinion, will be way over crowded with everything from mopeds to those ugly ass big wheel things, Kansas will be mainly for the Big Dogs. We should all be thankful and appreciative of Shannon and the rest of the guys that are putting this get together in the works! :old2::cheers::old2::cheers::old2:

one of the underlying reasons that it will be held there that hasn't been pointed out in quite a while is the fact that Matt Moore is a member at the resort. if not for that, would have to be somewhere else. this is a private resort.
