Starter Issues Follow Up

Back a few weeks ago I posted a problem with my starting system looking to isolate and obviously repair it to something reliable. Big Dogs are notorious for starting issues of all kinds.

I did what most of us would do, started with the obvious and simple and worked through to more complex tests as I couldn't get it resolved.

I also took the starter to Auto Zone for their free testing service and that's about all the test is worth, DO NOT take a motorcycle starter to an auto parts store, the test isn't worth your time.
Just for giggles I decided to test the "passed" starter the old fashioned way as I was out of ideas as to what the hell was going on in my starting system. Guess what? The damn starter couldn't even handle a completely unloaded bench test! So much for the Auto Zone minions testing equipment.

That faulty test wasted 2 weeks of my time after believing the starter was not the problem.

There are 2.4 kw on ebay look identical except the nose but I'm sure the nose can just be swapped out, I got lucky and got an New from old stock starter without modified nose which is ok because I'm installing a baker open primary this spring
