Have you thought about adding risers?
On a regular handlebar that would be no problem. On a BDM big problem. I could of course fabricate, but looking for one that will bring the grips higher, not further back, and remain stock BDM.

That's a great idea , i been wondering what im going to do about my new 2000 Bulldog the bars seem too low, but don't want to deter away from the original styling, also i would not have to change out all the control cables.
These risers are they bike specific or something i need to get made up?

I put some Bulldog handle bars on a K9, and had to add spacers so the speedometer bracket would clear the gas tank.

Well since i bought the bike i have not been able to go for a long ride,,,,till today
Had a good ride today and the Bike Was Awesome, Handled great , managed to loose one carburetor cover screw
And the handlebars are defiantly too low and my arms are too close together im not sure if risers are going to be enough.
What Handle bar option for the 2000 BullDog can i choose from ? ?
Also the foot pegs and controls seem to be too close and narrow also, what are my options there ...

Does anyone know if you can go for 2" spacer on a bull dog and have enough for cable controls.
UPDATE :
From what i have checked so far YES but once its all together i will come back with a definite answer. there is only one cable that may present a problem and that's the front brake line. time will tell.

2000 model has Harley controls? So you can fit what ever bars you want! May need longer cables and extend the wires, just like in every bike.
For foot controls and pegs I suppose you need to make extensions.

OK I'll look into the risers for the bars for now they just may feel awkward now because there so low.
The foot controls will need a little more investigating.

Awesome job hopefully i will not have to use the dremel, I did not see anything that will get it the way. We should be good there.
I just ordered the LA Chopper Risers from revzilla, I got the 2 inch risers. and ordered the longer bolts from The Bolt Depot Chrome Of Course.
I also took my bars off and made sure the two inchers would fit, they do!! we will see when i have it all together if this stays true.
