I used a rubber cap that is used to cover the bleeder screw on brake calipers for cars. some look like a round CAP with edge around it. I glued it on the black weather stripping glue - it has been on for a couple years now and still working great.

Digital brings it up to date with the new technology:whoop:The OEM needle was always bouncing around 5-8 mph, never accurate:oldbang:

I remember when digital was cool and new technology, it was early -70's!
And my speedo is fogged so bouncing doesn't bother me much . Anyway when the needle is stuck either on 40, 60, or 90 it is rock solid! would be nice to see odometer though

I was lined up to get the Dakota... but there was a holdup and then I got deployed, so I never got it.

I ended up getting the Medallion which is sitting on the shelf with Drag Bars and Wires+ to be installed.

See that's what I like about this site, ya learn something new everyday, I didn't know that. A little research and they were introduced in the 70's but I never had any of those high end vehicles that had them including the 1984 Dodge 600 :oldhardlaugh:Working 2 jobs most of my life and the fact that I hate reading left me in the dark most of the time and when I had a spare moment, I used that for a nap to recharge:whoop::old2:

YES, if you have one, that would be great. And if anyone else has one, let me know. I think that's why I never got around to it, because I didn't have a sample part.
Shannon,
I tried to remove the one from my Bulldog and it was so dry rotted it broke into about 10 pieces.
I did find a new one after a long hunt and a move that I had bought from Pink Chopper about 10 years ago, but still in good shape.
If you do get these made, maybe they could be made with a better material.
PM me your addy and I'll get it in the mail.
