Speedo trip meter reset button cover

I don't know if there is a source for them or not. I know it has been talked about several times.
If anybody has an old one, or a piece of one that I can draw it up on CAD, I can get them made. I have a friend that makes stuff like that.

I bought some of those rubber carb plugs. Used the one that fit the best....cut it down to size and glued it in place. So far it has worked well.

I'm not at work anymore to give you a drawing, however, the bottom diameter is 1/2" x 1/8" high transitioning to 3/8" dia. another 3/8" high for a total of 1/2" high. The inside diameter .12" x 3/8" deep, but it should have a harder plastic insert 1/8" diameter x 3/16"long inserted after to keep the speedo button from cutting or pushing thru the top of the rubber button. The reset plunger on my bike was not flat on the top but cut on an slight angle so the insert should be flat to push on it and not round.
I just glued it on because there's no space to get this thru the lens, and I didn't try taking the speedo apart.

Hey Steve, welcome to BDB! :hi:But it will really help if ya do an intro first, this is not to embarrass you but so we can get to know you better! :yesnod:  As far as the speedo thing, I am one of those silicone dudes for now, if you read some of the earlier posts you get a few good idea's.

Actually, I forgot all about this. All I need to do is make the mold and I can get it done. Medal is going to cost me about $150, but getting the rubber done won't be much.
