Bad Day... Lady backed over my chopper

While very accident is different...

Myself and the other biker that hit me both agreed that we should have totaled out are bikes...
the wasted time, expense, hassle and end result was not worth it -- unless you enjoy punishment and want a project!

Thanks to everyone. I spoke to my buddy again. He told me not to stress he'll make it look better than new paint wise.

I told my wife I just keep seeing this truck knock my bike me running out to it like it was a child of mine.

I didn't think twice as to weather or not I could pick it up I just ran outside and whipped it back up right never even thought my adrenaline was on overload

I don't even remember if it was heavy. I was just in shock and screaming at the lady that hit it.

I did tell her I was sorry for cussing and yelling at her. I know she didn't do it on purpose. I was so freaked out at the time I could barely formulate thought. It took me a min or so to get it together enough to call the police.

This is the second bike I've had backed into. The first time it happened the asshole backed into it got out of his truck and picked it up then drove off. If I would have ever found out who did that one I would have stomped that mf out!

So when this happened and the driver started to pull away I went a little nuts for a sec or two.

Oh well what's done is done time to fix it and move on.

Thank all you wonderful brothers and sister for all the kind comments.

Right there with you... Saturday, August 20th, my daughter wanted bagels so I am in the drive thru lane and a man and his daughter walked out of the restaurant and got into their truck. He drops it in reverse and I started laying on the horn, (car behind and in front of me) hits me. My reaction was exactly the same as yours I get out and say WTF????? you looked right at me when before you got in the truck. All of the sudden the passenger door flys open and a teenager gets out and says "your a fing asshole, your a fing idiot." The driver tells her to get back in the truck. We exchanged our information and I apologized for my initial reaction and he said "don't worry about it, I would have reacted the same way." I told him, I am going to apologize to your daughter as well as she was clearly upset. Opened her door and said I was sorry and she started screaming the same comments she made earlier. I slammed her door shut at that point. The dad said don't worry about her, she is an emotional teenager! Fortunately this was my company car (Brand new 2016 BMW 320 XDrive), and not the K-9 or BBC Sled. Best of luck in getting it better than new!!!!

If that was one of my kids that talked to an adult like that, girl or boy, teenager or not, they would have got their ass whipped with a belt.

All 3 of my kids are very well mannered and very well behaved I don't spank my kids with a belt very often as a matter of fact they could all tell you on one (or two) hand how many times they got a spanking with a belt. The difference is there is no doubt in their mind if they acted like that I would not hesitate to bust their ass.

I know a lot people don't believe in corporal punishment anymore. I believe if a child (young teen) cusses out an adult they need their ass busted.

Know what you mean about adrenaline. I did the same thing with my HD Wide Glide. I could smell and see the gas leaking, and within 5 seconds I was up and the bike back on two wheels. Unfortunately it was my own fault, the car in front of me started to make a right on red so I looked to see if there was enough room for me too. I left the clutch out while still looking left. Turn my head back and oh shit the car in front of me was still there.
Hope things work out for you.

After reflecting back on it I'm almost positive she was on her phone.

I talked to the ins company they said if the cost was higher that the. Alue of the bike they would total it.

I looked up blue book value and it was 12,7000 I think the parts and repair is gonna be between $6,000-$7,000 so hopefully they will cover it.

They will cover it for sure one way or the other.
