That was my ridgeback.. couldn't compare to the ride of the k9... it was an AIH.. but rode just like a BDM ridgeback..

Never have had a hardtail... never even ridden one! Maybe I'm just curious and if not needy then just wanty and would get bored on it in a few weeks

Nice bar hopper, n that's about it.. I ride daily and it wasn't practical at all.. the k9 I can ride daily and take it on trips and be fine when I get there.. lol.. really put of all the bikes I have owned the k9 and the fury is the most comfy ride for long trips..

I've had 3 ruptured disks and still have a piece of shrapnel in my back. I built a hardtail chopper in 1999 and within 2 weeks I was flat on my back. Redid it into a softail. I guess if you have a good back it doesn't matter and with the big tire it takes up some of the jarring but I couldn't do it....
