Oil Cooler

I recently removed the huge "BigDog" oil cooler I've had on my bike since the day I bought it. It never really felt like it cooled that much, and it was huge. With it installed, you couldn't even see that the downtube was curved. When I seen just how little oil was in it, I was amazed.

Anyway, has anyone use an UltraCool oil cooling system?

Also, I recently installed the chin gaurd I've had sitting in my garage for years. Do you think an UltraCool would fit behind it (or with it)?

Seriously, what are you doing with the BDM cooler you pulled off?? I am just Northeast of you and I would be interested in it if it is in good condition.

Idk how effective they really are because they have been in there since day one really.. I know I live in the Houston area and it's hotter then hell and in the summer my temp stays below 200..
They are good for about 15-20 degrees.

When I didn't have one I would be North of 200 in the summer in Dallas. Now it never gets there. Does what I need it do.

I would agree, on my K9 it made an average 20 degree difference. I'll be putting this setup on my Ridgeback as well.

What's the difference between the one u r getting and taking off?
Probably not much other than pro one you can get a oil temp gauge integrated onto the top of the oil cooler.

You can double up the BDM coolers as well which will help cooling and your also increasing the amount of oil too but I've never had issues with it running too hot with one cooler. I actually have issues in cold weather where it runs too cold. I've been meaning to get a piece of leather and sew up a condom for it to help retain the heat in the none summer months. Under 90 degrees unless your in traffic the oil cooler is overkill.
