I'm gonna have to call B.S. on that one, so learn me sumthin and please explain.
If you over-fill a dry sump system it will get rid of the excess oil all over the side of your bike through the breather vent at the carburetor. No B.S. Another good way (similar to Shannon's good advice) to measure the reservoir as full is to use the bottom weld of the filler tube where it meets the reservoir tank as a "full" indicator.

Hey guys, finally got a chance to get around to checking. After running it for awhile it returned a small bit back to the tank. Maybe about 3/4 of an inch from the bottom. My question, already knowing that is wwaaayyyy below where it should be is how do I change it. I don't see a drain plug.
Thanks for all the help. Before and after.

Doublea, You have an 03. It is a different animal than the rest of these guys have. You have a hose coming off the bottom of your tank that runs down and is bolted to the frame just above your shocks, behind the transmission. Unbolt that hose, and remove the plug out of the end.
I'll tell you what ,I'll send you a PM with my phone number, call me and I'll go over it with you, and send you a manual.

Thank you, I will not be able to do it until probably the first of next week. But I will take you up on that.
