After putting on those expensive oil lines
Curtis (wildsteedworx.com) and I continued the upgrades during the last couple days. I pulled out the cam chest ignition and pulled all the wiring.
We had already installed the cam sensor a few months ago in preparation for this upgrade but other bikes took priority.
Curtis wired in the new adjustable Thunderheart Igition and installed one of his awesome antigravity batteries.
I wrapped up all the wiring tucking it in nice and tight and clean. In the meantime I adjusted my rear shocks for more dampening, drained and refilled the tranny and adjusted the carb cables. Day before yesterday I pulled and cleaned the carburator.
When it was time to test it Curtis asked me if I wanted the honors so I turn the key on and everything lights up. I give it a twist on the throttle and hit the start button. Bike fired so fast it scared the hell out of me, never started like that with the cam ignition.
Ride home after working on another bike proved why I love the crank sensor over the cam sensor. And no need to put a timing light on it again.
Anyway another kool project coming out of the Wild Steed Worx shop.
Next project will be..... I don't know, already have kool oil lines, LED headlight, ignition, new bars and lots more. Whatever it is it will be kool.
Wife loves it a whole bunch also
