Okay, the 05 chopper.. idk where u r but I know here in Texas there is some law on giving u what Nada fair value is..
Its an 04, yes im in texas..see picture below thats all nada says about it value and most people assume its a 107ci since its a 04 but its NOT a 107 its a 117ci.it doesnt even give you the option to input about milage, motor size, condition, updated computer& electrical..it just says they are all work x amount no matter what? Doesnt seem right! ..

What!!! Who trailers their bike everywhere.. it's a joke right.. ???o_O
Well, I've never been a trailer guy but with 2 dogs it's sometimes necessary. The dogs can't ride on the bike and to house them is $45 a day so ya, once in awhile we trailer the bike. I always feel guilty but the happy wife is a happy life....

Got a 2004 chopper full coverage and a 1985 Harley without full. $12,000 on Dog. $172.00 per year. Progressive.
PS I have a friend that works there also been a member for over 35 years. note when I laid the Harley over Progressive did not pay any medical bills. I used my work Ins.

I had Grundy agreed upon value insurance on my '01 Mastiff. It was full coverage with an agreed value of $12 thousand (more than twice what it was worth) for $140 a year. You tell them what you value the bike at and that's what they insure it at. I had it for years on my Cobra and hot rods. Best company going and veeeerrrrrry reasonable. They insure Big Dogs as "customs" When I sold it and went to a Harley they would not insure me.

I called them once and they quoted me 6X what I am paying now for my Viper with the same value.

So i iust left statefarm trying to get insurance and they said unless you guys went and had your motorcycles appraised by an appraiser and thats what appraisel value was then they didnt guarantee you $16,000 or 26,000 value in the event of a total loss...how did you guys get those values?

Thats just what they gave me.. I didn't have to ask.. they asked how much did I pay and it took a few minutes and said that's what they can cover it for.

You might want to double check that bud..not saying its not true, just saying what they told me about there policys..they said they take blue book value and if you push the issue of value they look at other resale values of similar year and make into consideration and come up with an average...they said the only way you would ever get someone to give you a guaranteed value is if you went and had it appraised and that would be the value.. not to mention you would have to get it reappraised every year to keep record's up to date for that guarantee amount...

I'm not too worried, I just went over my policy with my agent in July when it came time to renew, but good luck on finding a good policy.. realistically u should be covered at about 8500

I have $10,000 in extra optional coverage which increases whatever value they end up on. Its an extra $90 a year but that's just me adding all the extras , pipes, sissy bar, pegs, seat, etc.

My policy states "actual cash value plus optional equipment" your optional equipment is where you can tack on the $$$ to get you on top.

Why don't you do a claim to offset some of your recent misfortune? Tell the adjuster it's "optional equipment"..:oldeek: :oldeek:
