This is my last ditch effort to sell my chopper. No negotiation in this price at all. Take it or leave it.

I have removed the tach and sissy bar for a cleaner look and they do NOT go with the chopper for this price. I will throw the optional tach and sissy bar in for an additional $400 EACH FIRM.

Selling my black 2003 Big Dog Chopper. S&S 107ci and 6 speed left side drive. I love this bike and have babied it! Long list of upgrades installed. Runs like new, is in excellent condition, and only has 6500 miles. Has been meticulously maintained. Price is $7500. I have MUCH more than this in the bike.

Upgrades:

· WSW Thunderheart upgraded EHC
· S&S Electric Compression releases
· BDM Extended controls
· Brand new front tire
· Brand New Exhaust
· New rear brakes
· Rear seat
· Rear pegs
· Tri bar headlight
· LED headlight
· Swing Arm Mounted Rear Kickstand (internal spring)
· Super Bright turn signals
· Clear signal lenses
· Updated mirrors
· Tank mod (removed rattle tube)
· Oil pressure gauge
· New Braille Battery
· Synthetic fluids
· Dyna Beads in front tire

Ready to ride anywhere.

Does have 1 very minor fork seal leak but that's it!

Thank you!

Joe

I gave that guy a text again. He did text back about an hour later and ask where you were located. Maybe he begging his wife, I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

Thanks for the help Mr Wright! Much appreciated! I live in Ross Ohio.

10 new pics in the first post above and 6 more here

I don't ride much anymore. Just a lot of life in the way. We also just bought a small camper this year and are getting into road trips with it which are cool. I'd like to sell to minimize. I'll miss it tho. I already did all the work and money to it for somebody else to enjoy.

I'm trying. worked on a couple more guys today. It's kind of like pussy, you can tell your friends how great it is, and they say they want some too, but until they ride one, they don't know that they can't live without it.

Thats funny! I do apperciate it Mr Wright! I know your into 03s too! Itd be cool to have a buddy with same bike for sure.

Im thinking I chased the market all year. Started at 12k this spring. Had I listed for 9500 in April it probably would have been gone. Maybe next April......ha

See that red one in the picture? That is an 03, it has over 20,000 miles on it. That guy payed $11000. for it. Of course, he knew I was the only one who had worked on it since it was new, but still. There is no reason you can't get $10000 for your bike, you just haven't found the right person yet.
I sold an old rusted out jeep pick-up once, with a bad transfer case. I advertised it 3 times for $1000, lots of calls, but no takers. For giggles and grins I advertised it for $1500. A guy called me, came over with a trailer, didn't even take for a test drive, just loaded it on the trailer and paid me cash.
That Mastiff we just sold, $15,000 was gone in less than a week. The right guy at the right time.
We'll find a buyer, don't cheat yourself, you have a fine Dog there. In my opinion 03 was the best bike Big Dog made. And I have ridden, and worked on a lot of them. Hang in there Joe.

Thanks Mr Wright. Thats what I needed is a little pick me up. Seriously.

I had it advertised for $8500 FIRM and this guy calls from Nashville TN, says hes not bs-ing and only has $7500 cash cause he just sold his bike and thats all hes got but he has CASH. I should have said "sorry" but I told him in a weak moment cause Im thinking FINALLY ITS SOLD so I say, "sure that's fine if I keep the tach and sissy bar". I assumed he would cough up another 1k and buy it as is. But no, he says "absolutely fine - I'm off work Friday and Ill be there at 9am"! So I go out in the garage on crutches (Im 2 weeks out of surgery and supposed to be zero weight and elevated) and I remove the tach and sissy bar. Well we all know where this is going - he's a no show. That's why the bike has the tach and sissy bar removed now. By the way - I love the cleaner look without the tach. The sissy bar I'll put back on if I ride again.

Anyway - I learned a lesson. I agree - it WILL sell. I just need to be patient! Thanks for keeping me level headed.
