Hey all,

I'm hoping you can provide some suggestions. My 2006 K9 turn signals, high beam, and horn are not working. Bike starts and runs fine and the headlight and running lights light up normally. New battery. I'm at a loss.

Thanks!
Cip

Welcome from Alabama. If you don't know if you have the original EHC, take a picture of the battery box area under the seat and post it so we can identify what you have.

Yes, I have the original EHC. No problems so far, knock on wood!

I did check the headlight. Pulled the bulb and looked it over real good. No broken wires or dark spots.

If its only the fronts that don't work, I would look under the tank. Check for rubbed or pinched wires. Check the connectors themselves. Refill with dielectric grease if needed. Btw, nice pit crew.

the horn could a problem all by itself. very prone to wires breaking. but then again you ain''t missin' much, it ain't nothin' but a squeak.

Nope, HOAT still has his 2007 K9. Mine is an 06. I have a picture of our bikes together somewhere...will have to dig it up.

Squeaking tank, all the items not functioning operated from the same area, could it be more clear?

It is the harness under your tank.

Been there, done that. Donna used to have them in stock and it's a breeze to replace.

Thanks all. I pulled the tank ... and scratched it of course @#$%^&*(!!
Some of the wires were getting frayed but not thru yet. Taped em up and added some foam tape under the tank to help with the squeaking. Pulled the controls apart and re-seated the electrical connections. All of the left side controls all work now. I'm still having trouble with the right side turn signal. I have 8v to all but the black wire at the connector when the key is on. PCB maybe? If so, where can I get one?

I'll keep putting pics up for incentive!

If you can get them beauties to pose like that you don't need our help to fix them lights. :oldlaugh: :oldlaugh:

Check wire harness between the connector and the turn signal housing it could a bad wire. Also make sure the JST connectors are plugged in and the wires didn't move or got pulled out from the JST connector.
