Loose primary chain?

05 Pitbull idle rolls like the primary chain is loose. Opened the inspection over and chain didn't measure over the max tension. Adjusted the tensioner anyway to the minimum. Test ride on idle roll on 1st gear is still the same. Anyone have an idea on the issue??

Bike is in 1st gear rolling down the street without using the accelerator. Like when your riding in a slow moving parade. It will move then slack off for a second (like when clutch is pulled in) then kicks back in like a loose chain.

Sounds like clutch is slipping ..

I agree it sounds like the clutch is slipping. Loose primary chain should sound like you have a bolt rattling around in the primary case when you are going down the street. If the bike is creeping forward in 1st with the clutch pulled in it is defiantly your adjustment in your clutch.

If clutch adjustment doesn't correct the problem, check your clutch basket. 05's had basket problems.
