You really think their going to do it fast enough to worry about given that I only get around 10k out of a tire!

I really don't know about the short tire life. My experience is from semi trucks a short tire life to me is 250K miles. But I will say, if you can get a better product the same money, why not do it?

ok, so what other then potential shortened tire life, which I doubt seriously is an issue for us here, makes this a better product? That was the only thing you said about them!

Really the more I think about it, there may not really be an issue on a tire that's only going to go 5000 miles.
The big differences for us is that the polished glass beads (Counteract) aren't abrasive to the inside of the tire. And glass isn't susceptible to absorbing moisture. Neither of these will likely be an issue in such a small tire with a very short life.
