Ron, my speedo was one of the problems I was having :nonod: before I switched to a ESC, from DOC,:yesnod: and amazingly enough as soon as it was installed my speedo worked again! :whoop::old2:Not saying that's your problem, but it could be the beginings of the EHC gremlins! :oldeek: Did you check for continuity with your M.M.? :oldconfused: Just some possibilities, good luck brother! :patriot:

Chillin,
This was my speedo problem,Just a thought. My bike is a 2002 Pitbull. Good luck.

Speedometer fixed

Well found the problem with my speedometer. My stator and rotor were trashed. This explains why it would work for a few miles and then go haywire. By keeping it on the tender I would leave with a full charge and when the battery started to drain, speedo would screw up. My mechanic went through the whole bike when putting tires on and for a piece of mind had him re-align everything on the bike. He noticed it wasn't charging then dug deeper and found the issue. He also put a circuit breaker by the battery to remove all the extra wires off of the battery. Bike runs pretty damn good except I have a little delay when giving it gas at higher RPM's. I need to adjust my carb or change some jets. Below is a picture of the rotor. Thanks for anyone with your help.New rotor on left old on right.

Its surprising how much metal gets attached to it, I have cleaned mine off several times in the last 16K miles.

The charging is fine , no battery drain. I said @##*&#$ and ordered a new Autometer speedo. I am tired of buying
speed senders and all the BS with Dog's half ass workmanship and quality. I still have to buy another sender and
IT WILL BE THE LAST ONE!! It will have a warranty atleast.

I have 5 senders here all came out of the trans and are as clean as a new ones.

SHIT, I forgot I have another over rated LED headlight bulb take a dump, I bought 2
just in case, now I'm in the dark.

BTW, the warranty on them ain't worth a shit either.

I must be battin a thousand this week, I've chewed ass at Baker Transmission, Autometer,
my parts guy, my cat.

Next week I will be running a special FUCK RON week, sign up is required in advance.

Something funky is going blowing speed sensors and headbulbs. Have you ever replaced your Voltage Regulator? If you haven't I'd just spend the $100 and be on the safe side.

The LED bulbs are falling apart not blowing. I have filtered the AC voltage out and have clean DC voltage
supplying all power. The speedometer is the only thing I am having problems with but, as stated before
the 02-03 speed heads were NOT built to Autometer specs BUT to BD specs, some loose ground inside
the head Autometer don't want to say much because BD screwed them out of a lot of money at the end
according to my conversation with Autometer.
