So I gave my bike a good wash and wax this morning about 10:00 am. about 5 this afternoon I fired her up and about 20 sec. later it died. So I fired her back up and after another 20 sec. it died again. One more time i lit her up and she started, when I went to give the throttle a turn it went to die again. Now she wont start at all? any suggestions?:bang:  :bang:  :bang:

thanks narow, I hae figured it out, and I feel LIKE AN IDIOT! I am so used to not messing with thye petcock that I forgot I had turned it off! So when I lit her up and hit the throttle a couple of times there was no fuel left. All is well now  and I hope the rest of the guys don't thrash me toooooo much!:D

Yep...been there. I was stranded on the side of the toll road for 20 minutes before I figured out it was a gas issue.

did it this weekend at leesburg bike fest. PUlled through an intersection and cough cough stall. Took me a min or so of thinking oh shit not now. Then I remembered I turned the fuel off. LOL>> happens to us all at some point.

not enough time 4 riding
Nothing like having it happen when you are leaving the dealer after having your bike serviced (and not just once).

This brings a chuckle! Like the time I installed a pingel on my Harley, riding down the road rotating it on & off, thinking that I had trash in the fuel line. Had the tank drained and the thing almost removed before I read the phreaking instructons again.

Doing at the dealer after service, Primary Spousal Unit has it down to a science!

Yep been there done that. And the funny thing is... from expierence... I was reading your first post and was going to ask if the petcock was on.

Also, now that you cranked and cranked and cranked trying to start it. Be sure to put it on the battery tender. I believe it was Sul or dogvet that said it takes 20 miles of riding to recharge 1 start up. Do the math. You need to get that battery back up to full charge.
