Doug, man I can't believe your luck. All the trouble you had with your first dog and now this. I hope bdm will treat you better on this deal than they did on your 04. I steered you into a dog and not on to a hog cuase they are the coolest bikes out. I know you love your dog as much as the rest of us do, but you must be loosing faith. So stick in there and your bike will be back soon. Any way you can always use your father-inlaws hog. If you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck at all. When we finnally hook up the first brew is on Dave, and the 2-10 are on me

Doug You said The techs at BD had to remove both cylinders and check the pistons, both were scuffed. It seems the oilers are not working properly and it caused a friction problem that equals extreme HEAT. Doug these spray jets or oilers direct pressured oil at the bottom of the piston to carry off heat. Scuffing on the piston skirts and liner from a missed directed or plugged oiler causes piston scoring. The bottom of the piston will tell the story if its heat related.

For some odd reason the Tech at my dealer is not sharing too much info. with me. I have tried several times to talk to him, but can only reach the service desk and they don't know shit. I talked to the tech a couple weeks ago and haven't been able to get any more information. Just called a few minutes ago and the desk told me new parts were ordered and they didn't have any more info. No time frame, not sure what was ordered and still no tech to talk to, I'm not even sure if the tech. still works there. The guy at the desk said he thinks new cylinders were ordered, nice input, starting to become bullshit. They have had my bike for two months now, and all they had to do was to keep me posted to keep me happy. Now I'm pissed! I'm going to drive to the dealer about 1.5 hours away and have a little chat with them tomorrow.

Doug There must be a reason they ordered new cylinders for your bike! Did you have correct jetting? Did they say anything about an intake leak or the oilers? If you have a bent oiler this can cause problems? Low oil pressure list goes on. keep us up to date! Its there baby now.See if they will give you a loaner bike this promotes more sales for the dealership.

The jetting was fine and no intake leak, bike actually ran well except for the extreme heat at the rear cylinder. They were going to pressure test the oilers last week but I haven't heard from them to hear the results. Your right it is their baby now but I sure would like to know what they are doing to my bike. I would have given them all the time they needed with out bitching if they would have just kept me updated. I like the loaner bike idea, good thinking.

Trying to find a quality dealership is difficult in MI. I havn't given up on FT, but they need to work on their customer service. Their bike tech's shouldn't be the one updated the customer, the service manager needs to step up to the plate. I finally talked to the service manager today, still a little foggy, but BD is replacing the top end of my motor, just waiting on parts. Waiting, waiting, waiting sound familiar? I tryed to hit them up on Diamond cut heads, but dealership said BD sends them out to have them cut. I was willing to pay the difference but dealer wasn't real helpful. They could have at least ran it by BD.

Now you got me on the should open up at 10psi .Sounds like they are checking flow with 10psi from an outside pressure source. Interesting mystery!05 Chop,
