Let us know what they found wrong...
Doug edited his first post......NEW UPDATE
... The techs at BD had them remove both cylinders and check the pistons, both were scuffed. It seems the oilers are not working properly and it caused a friction problem that equals extreme HEAT. This is the third dealership and finally someone has some answers.
...

05 Chop,Cutter? Did you buy this after market piston for your bd? Doug -Pressure check the oilers not sure what they mean here.Oilers have a certain orifice size.Good flow of oil and direction is important though
Now you got me on the should open up at 10psi .Sounds like they are checking flow with 10psi from an outside pressure source. Interesting mystery!05 Chop,
They told me they should open at about 10psi and they were trying a pressure test to see if they were working. That is all they said, finally got a hold of the service manager and BD is replacing top end of my motor. He didn't have any more info., just said parts were on order. Still a little foggy, I would like to know what they found and how they found it, but seems to be a mystery.
