Like the title says, lol I have an 07 K9, updated wiring harness, Dakota digital, not the cheap big dog replacement, but the full on oval gauge with everything from rps, to time to voltage etc. I turn the key to on position and gauge looks normal, shows my time, the trip I have it set on, gear in Neutral, speed at 00 etc. I hit the start button (old school harley switches) and it clicks once, coming from the starter it sounds like. Then nothing. The gauge then shows both turn signal indicators on, high beam indicator as well as oil indicator and fuel indicator. Headlights or front signals go off. Any suggestions? Is it possible for a bad starter to short out the system? A little more info, on the way to work this mornin the rpms were jumping all over the place and turn signals on my gauge were doing the same until I came to an idle.

I apologize, my name is Kel. I live in the Houston area and been a proud owner of an 07 K9 for some time now. However I know my ignition is Harley due to the key. Don't know what kind of wiring harness it is. I know it's not bdm. So I'm faced with some issues at the moment the electrically.

Whenever mine does that, its directly linked to a bad battery or a loose connection at the battery terminals. Those terminals like to loosen up from time to time.

Appreciate that, checked. I found out a long time ago with this bike that things come loose on this bike when I had to replace a meted battery due to loose connection
