Gas Fumes

I have noticed I seem to smell gas fumes when I'm near my 06 Ridgeback. It seems to be running fine, every once in a while it does seems to load up at low RPMs. I cracked the throttle and clean it out and it's fine.......but when it is setting and not running, I smell the fumes. I have checked everything over and can find no leaks nor is there gas underneath when it is sitting. Could this just be the cap venting after it has run for a while?

I had that experience for a while. One day I pulled into the drive and shut it off and gas was dribbling onto the hot motor! Scared the crap outta me. Turns out the tank had cracked around the rear mounting tab....hope this isn't ur issue?

I had this problem once and it turned out to be the fuel line had a split in it. It was split under the hose clamp cover and it was hard to see.

Ya might wanna replace the gas line with a new piece of hose, maybe your is old and cracked, also I usually turn the petcock off when I pull in the driveway but I let it run for a little to use up some of the gas in the bowl.
If you have removed the valve on the gas cap, you could have fumes coming out the cap from the motor heating the tank while its cooling down.
