Hello guys. Very much ask your help. Conventional solutions do not work. I checked everything. Problem with the oil. I drove 500 miles after Rebild. I check the oil level every morning before driving to work. oil was at one and the same level. I do not add a single drop. Then came the heavy rains and I put the bike in the garage for four days. Four days later, today, I decided to check the bike and the oil level. The oil was below 200 quart. where could precipice oil? No leakage is not. Before that I drove every day. Drove 500 miles. Oil level is not lowered. Burn it can not, because I traveled 500 miles and did not add oil. Leakage can not. I examined the entire motorcycle and garage floor. Nope no oil droplets. What is my problem? What should I do? I am very grieved and I'm at a dead end. I truly believe in the quality of American engines. I truly believe in the reliability of the Evo. Please think about what could be the problem?
P.S. My familiar the owners of motorcycles of Japanese brands do not top up the oil. Fucking Japanese motorcycles do not consume oil. What the heck!!!!!!!!!
P.P.S. I checked the oil every day. Everything was normal. The bike was in the garage for four days. 200 quarts of oil Missing ?????

I thought about it. While checking, I would start the engine. The oil level has not returned. On your diagram shows a twin cam Oily System. I own a Ridgeback 2005. Evo oiling system. Oil tank below the transmission. Oil from the oil tank can not by gravity pass into the crankcase. ???

NOT all your oil is IN the tank....there's oil in your engine when it's running, in your lifters, your cam, your pushrods, under your cylinders etc etc....and your oil filter is up front with about 1/2 QT in it...oil pump has oil in it etc etc.......either that, or someone is playing a joke on you and sucked some oil out......are you checking the oil with bike standing straight up or on kickstand?

If you have an internal leak, only other place oil could possibly go would be into your primary or transmission (very unlikely).....if you are really worried about, check your primary level first....

I checked oil before parking the motorcycle. Everything was normal. I do not start the motorcycle four days. The oil level down. When the engine is started the oil is distributed throughout the engine. But I did not start the engine. I check the oil. level was normal. Has put the bike for four days. I came, I checked the oil level down.

you may have a oil monster living in your garage then.....hahaha.....or its in the sump. You need to ride and run the bike for a few for the oil to get out of the sump....just starting and idling it for 10 minutes or less will not get the oil out if the sump. We use 20-50 oil, it's thick.....takes awhile to warm up....you need to ride it and get temperature up...a good, long ride!

A friend of mine drove his dog home on a open trailer through a rain and hail storm....had water in the engine....he keep swapping oil and even used a scavenger....couldn't figure it out, but he never rode it....finally I pulled the sump drain plug and the water came out....

Absolutely correct. I drove 500 miles and everything is OK. He stood for four days, and the oil itself was gone. If I made a mistake when assembling the engine I would not have traveled 500 miles.

When you turn your BD off the oil suckdenator drains oil into the frame. It's part of the EHC thing. It keeps your frame from rusting and breaking which is a good thing. HD should have thought of it a long time ago but then their motors leaked so much oil the frames never rusted anyway. You need to just start your motor (don't rev it up until it warms up), turn it off and stand the bike up straight. THEN check your oil and only a few drops will remain in the frame.... IF after a few days you still have full oil Curtis sells Suckdenator valves to correct the problem. Your welcome...

You say you lost 2 quarts of oil...how do you know that? 2005 Ridgebacks do NOT have an oil dipstick, nor is the oil tank see through? Are you using your finger, a screwdriver, the temp gauge cap??????
All of those methods of checking your oil will NOT/NEVER tell you you are 2 quarts off...where did you come up with this amount?

I'm going to be a dick here and also recap this thread:

1. No oil on garage floor
2. no oil in Primary (you replaced seal)
3. There is NO DIPSTICK

THE OIL IS STILL IN YOUR ENGINE THEN

GO FOR A LONG RIDE AND WARM IT UP TO TEMPERATURE! AT LEAST 20-35 MILES!!! THEN check your oil.

As most have stated...your OIL is still in your engine (PROBABLY THE SUMP)....it doesn't evaporate.....and an air cooled engine DOES use more oil than a liquid cooled one, but not 2 QUARTS.

AGAIN, how do you know the oil is 2 QUARTS off??

Ha-ha-ha. It is most similar version. I think so too. But seriously, I also use AMSOIL 20W 50. And incredibly in love with my motorcycle. This winter I did a full engine Rebild. New pistons, rings, cylinder boring, new oil pump, all bearings, bushings, camshaft, crankshaft.... Do you know how hard it is to make Russia Rebild rare motorcycle. American language I did not know very well, the details for S&S is not available. All need to order and wait long. Ken really helped me. He works in a factory S&S. I thank him for his patience.
And all of you thank very much for your help and advice. In Russia, very little real specialists in such motorcycles.

I just rebuilt two S&S 117s in the last 2 months!

OIL IS STILL IN YOUR ENGINE!!!!!!
