Starter recommendation?

Looks like it's time to replace starter. Should I go with a direct replacement left over from bigdog off eBay or is there a better upgrade out there?

Bama .... what are your symptoms......

Went to fire up my Bulldog yesterday and it just spun without engaging ....never happened before.

My K9 spins up great.....

The BD always seemed to lock up during starting so it won't hurt my fellings to send it into Curtis anyway. :cheers:

Hate to hear your having problems also...Mine just clicks now. It turned over a couple times then nothing. I have power everywhere I should..I tapped on starter a few times and it tried to turn over but then nothing. I ended up buying abother big dog unit but I also plan on sending mine off to have as a spare

Before you blow needless money on a starter, make totally sure your battery is up to the task. A weak battery has been responsible for many a weird issue with these bikes. Just saying.....

Replaced with brand new batterYork, even charged it for good measure.

Im probably getting close as mine has a couple years on it..... usually get clicks in my end...... not the dreaded spinning wine. :mad:
