18 inch sissy bar for 300 tire

By accident I have a sissy bar with tapered Ends .
I need non tapered ends I would like to swap with somebody

If this is for a K9, maybe you just need the collets that go with the tapered ends?

Correct, you need the collets or just cut them off that's been done too.

Marky Marc there was sayin somethin about that , ,collets? Haven't seen that application yet any idea where I get them? if I go that route !!
personally I like the idea of cutting it
.. I wonder how far those threads going to that sissy bar cuz I'm having problems with the old sissy bar bolts are snapping

Hey Paul, I had the tapered ones with the collets and split one of my fender struts cause you can over tighten and blow it out the side, I cut .700 off of mine and used grade 8 bolts, the threads were deep enough on mine.
It did lower the luggage rack to the fender but I could still get a finger between them.

I like that idea. I'm gunna try that. The collets sound like just another part that could fail. I didn't want to go th hat route, thanks
