Alright I know this topic has been covered, and I know I could figure it out for myself, but on a whim I decided to drop my bike off to my mechanic who works at HD. I know that with enough time and youtube videos I could probably do this myself, but I don't have time, and I'm a mechanical idiot. My question is, in my 06K9, does anybody know off hand from the SS website which compression releases I need? I want to say http://www.sscycle.com/product/Electric-Compression-Release-Kit-p20658.html is what I need but I don't want to tell him to order these and then have then they're not the right thing. Also, I'm sure they would love to just order whatever tires they want, but 2 years ago when I was looking at doing this, I was going to go with the metzler, has that preference changed here much?? Sorry guys, I know this is super lazy and I could do days of research to find the answer, but with a tax return in my account, I decided to drop it off today and force myself to fix this right once and for all. I'm missing two primary bolts he'll have to replace, the bolt that holds the ignition cover to the frame, he's replacing the gasket on the primary, and the little plate gasket on the primary as well. I know, I could probably do all this myself, but I dropped the thing off at one of those guys that my buddy "swore was awesome and could work on stuff" and then oil leaks happened and bad luck followed. I just want it all fixed and done. The thing has needed new tires for like two years and I haven't been able to ride it because the compression releases were blown out the top of the jugs and...anyways thanks in advance for the help.
