Bike won't start

Put new docs esc in bike have new starter and new batter got everything working drove bike to work yesterday started fine jest went out to start bike and it would not start cables where loose so I made shore everything is tight and it still will not start don' get it driving me nuts.

So if the cables were loose, maybe the battery didn't charge properly, does it turn over, is it completely dead, does it turn over but no spark, I would think we need a little more than it don't start. Maybe you need to back track and go over the connections again.

I would look at right handlebar control connection and make sure that all the pins are straight and are not pulled back and that a wire didn't get pulled out.

Wen't over all the connections it tries to start but seems like it don't have enough power to start it has 12.68 volts

Mine has been sitting for a week or so, checked the battery 12.68 volts just like yours, hooked up the jump start, it cranks right over, without the jump start click click crank click click crank. If I go for a ride though and let the battery fully charge, cranks right over, every time. If I pull the solenoid cover off and push the plunger in like a slam button, the starter cranks the bike, no click click. Makes me wonder about the solenoids in these starters. Even though we have 12.50+ volts, its not enough to pull the solenoid plunger in to make a good contact, maybe the spring on the solenoid plunger is too strong. When these starters are tested, I wonder if they are using a car battery which would spin the shit out of them when they are tested.

If you want one quickly go to the Harley dealer and get P/N: 65989-97C. Put it on a charge over night before using...

The Harley battery does the same thing, ask me how I know the Duracell does the same and both are 310CCA, the stock battery was 270CCA, it has to be something with the starter solenoids, something changed, too many of us are having the same problem

Are there different springs for the solenoid plunger in the different starters? 1.5K, 1.7K or 2.0K

The Harley battery does the same thing, ask me how I know the Duracell does the same and both are 310CCA, the stock battery was 270CCA, it has to be something with the starter solenoids, something changed, too many of us are having the same problem

I've never had that issue with the Harley batteries in my scoots till around the 2 year mark when they get weak...

I just bought a Harley battery 6 months ago, fully charged it, runs the bike great, let it sit and the voltage drops to 12.5+ without a tender, I don't have the EHC. If I go for a ride and then start it its fine, let it sit for a week and it only has enough balls to barely start the bike. Yes they load tested it and yes I also bought a Duracell and it does the same.
These 2 new battery's I have will spin the starter like nobody's business if I push the plunger in to engage the starter, they just don't have enough to pull the plunger in hard enough for it to start the bike after sitting a week

Wow that's strange! I've never had that issue. You sure you don't have stray voltage loss? I've heard some bad news about the lightning start batteries from several folks...

I am an idiot, but my thinkings if your battery has juice to crank the engine when pushing the solenoid in with a finger, problem hardly is too strong spring. Rather there is no proper connection on solenoid. Clean it and get rid of those burn marks and check the wires and ground. How does that sound?
