I'm assuming I need a battery. Can someone verify? (video)

Bad clicking before it finally starts. Once in a while it fires right up. Check my connections. Battery Volts when running 13.99 V to over 14 V, off 12.8 V after setting for a while 12.7 V, when starting it drops to 8-9 V. Curtis rebuilt my starter a year ago, battery is almost 3 years old. Last fall I did DOC's ESC.
I don't think I will spend another $200 on a TR battery this time.

Seeing as it's almost 3 yrs old(that's about the average on here),thats where i'd start, you can go to a batteries plus store(if in your area) and pick one up off the shelf foe about $120-$130ish,you may get a discount if you buy it on line and p/u at store, again if the store is accessible to you. It's a Duracell. So far i've got no complaints and I don't remember seeing any on the fourm about them, but I have not been on here too much latley.Good luck,,also make sure compression releases are working properly if your bike has them, which I think it may

If the battery is dropping that low then it is definitley the battery.
If you've paid attention, I'm speaking in general to forum mebers not you directly, then you know my feelings about batterys and which one to use...LOL

I have not been paying attention lately and would like to know your recommendation on batteries.

Go to Walmart, pay $86 for one with a years warranty. Next year go back and get another. If it should get weak before the year is up just take it back for a new one free of charge...

I have been selling and using AntiGravity Lithium-ion batteries now for almost 3 years.
Same battery in my K9, with the stock EHC, can sit for 3 months or more and still spins right up with no issues.
We did have 2, a year ago, that popped holes in the side of the battery at the negative post.
No fire, no melt downs just a little "poof", no not some kind of gay person, and there was the hole.
AG replaced them with new batterys. Can't say for sure what actually caused the problem but neither customer has had an issue since.
Yes they are a bit up front but with a life span of 6-8 years it all pans out and you don't have to bother with the battery that entire time so thats a plus also. And with 600 to 780, depending on the model, CCAs available you don't have issues with starting ever.

I think the AntiGravity Lithium-ion batteries are getting a bad wrap with all the hover boards burning up, But I personally will give them a little more time on the market before I purchase a fire cracker to sit on. I was at Batteries plus today for a battery for my Viper (I removed a 10yr old Optima red top) and they had a shit load of Lithium batteries on the shelve, its definitly gonna be the future battery.

Yeah if you buy your shit from China.
Antigravity is American Made so there isn't even a remote bit of comparison with that statement.
