i have an 05 mastiff and noticed these two welded on threaded nuts. I was curious what they are for if anyone knows do tell lol

I have those too. My guess is they were for an assembly fixture. They are kind of hidden, so no real need to remove them.

Nope. Speedo is in the cover between the tanks.

Those were for spindle mounted tach's, at least on my 04 Pit.

then those handlebars are actually for a single tank bike but can be used for a dual tank bike. (dual purpose/ saves on inventory)

Ya it's an 05 mastiff split tank speedo in the middle on top of tank

The Speedometer and Tach Aluminum Bracket is mounted over that on an 08 Ridgeback. I would guess that any Big Dog with the Speedometer between the handlebars will be mounted there.

Mine has same thing, for handlebar mounted tach. The wind-shield goes between handlebars and top tree.
