Mission Statement

The mission of the Planning Committee is to plan a gathering by identifying an appropriate location to meet, and plan activates that will promote new friendships and enhance existing friendships through motorcycle rides and social activities. The intent is to create these opportunities for the enjoyment of Big Dog Biker Forum Members. We will plan a gathering with goals of meeting other Forum members, strengthening existing friendships, and suggesting quality riding experiences based on our common interests in Big Dog Motorcycles and motorcycling.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alright everyone, the planning committee has put a lot of hours and effort into this. We have taken into consideration the input and concerns each of you have posted, including, security for our bikes and trailers, and a gathering place where we will not be bothered by the cops or interrupted by other bikers or gangs. There will be plenty of food and beverages. We have done our best to try to please everyone, but some things were not possible.
It was tough finding everything we needed in Wichita, the birthplace of our beloved Dogs. Matt Moore suggested a private resort, of which he is a member, that we can use with his membership. Out of respect for him and his membership, let us refrain from doing burn outs in the court yard.
The place is called Flint Oaks resort which is about an hour and a half east of Wichita
. The dates are the 23rd, 24th, and leaving on the 25th of June 2017. Those wanting to show up on the evening of Thursday the 22nd are welcome.
The amenities include: pistol range, skeet and trap, swimming pool, fishing, and more. This is a hunting resort but no hunts will be provided while we are there.
This place does have one small drawback, but we think we can overcome it. There are 14 RV hookups. Tent camping is welcome, but there are only 46 rooms. Each room has two twin beds. There is a motel about 15 miles away should we exceed the number of bodies per bed. Wives are welcome and encouraged to come. I am not going to ask you to do this unless the ladies are in agreement with both parties, but if you are coming single, pair up with someone so we can all stay at the resort. Plus, if you pair up, it will be less than $50 a night for each person.
It is set up so each of you will pay for your room and meals. If you want to participate in any of the amenities, you will need to arrange that yourself. I'll post contact numbers for the resort, along with other information later. When the resort is getting close to filling up, we will post contact numbers for the hotel. We are planning two rides, which will happen simultaneously. Information about the itinerary, rides, and other details will be posted as we get closer to the event.
On Friday and Saturday nights, we will have awards and other stuff, including hopefully getting Matt to tell us about the future of Big Dog.
I know we are a great bunch of guys and gals, and we would never hold Tim or BDB responsible for any problems or misfortune that might arise, but just to be on the safe side, we decided it would be appropriate to include a waiver. Read it closely. When you check in at the resort, you will need to fill out the waiver to receive your welcome package.
(All persons wishing to attend the event 'Big Dog Biker - Big Dogs Unleashed' to be held at Flint Oaks resort in Kansas on June 22, 23, 24, 25 in 2017 must first sign the following: Waiver and Release of All Claims and Hold Harmless Agreement.)
WAIVER AND RELEASE
OF
In consideration of receiving the privilege of attending the above named event, I ______________________________, being over eighteen years of age, hereby waive and release any and all claims I may hereafter possess against Big Dog Biker Forum, its members, directors, officers, employees, agents, partners and associates for injury to my person (including emotional distress) and/or damage to or loss of my property while I am at said event.
I agree to hold harmless (jointly and severally) Big Dog Biker Forum, its members, directors, officers, employees, agents, partners and associates from any and all claims which may hereafter be brought against them by Flint Oaks for damages to its premises and/or property, and injuries to its personnel which shall have occurred as a result of my being at said event.
Cool! I'm in!
14RV spots. Who gets to stay with PK on the bus? Haha
Also thanks to the committee and Moore for sticking his neck out for us.
Just looked this place up, my lab would love it up there. I'll leave him behind though.
Hey Harry, If you live anywhere near the site would you happen to know if there are any decent RV parks with full hook up in the area. I know they said there were 14 or so sites on the resort but I couldn't find any info .Thanks
I'm about 8 miles south of Wichita so yeah, I'm close. Lemme do some digging......I'll post what I find out. Edit: well that was easy. This looks to be the closest there is. About 12-15 miles away at Fall River Lake...
Toronto Lake is a bit further up the road...
