I am looking for full size floorboards that will fit my 2000 Big Dog. I need to know what boards will fit and what adapters to use. Nobody or no place I contact seems to know. Yet I've see 2000 Big Dogs with floorboards , so I know there available...its just knowing which set fits.

RETIRED
I have seen maybe one older Big Dog with floor boards. I would think that something that would fit a soft tail would either work or be able to be adapted. Good luck
I would check the Harley heritage or deluxe. Take you bike down to the local Harley shop and don't forget your tape, measure. They usually have a few used bike on the floor that you can look at.as far as fitment. From there go to ebay or Craigslist if they we fit

You know, I remember a couple years ago, someone why making some mini floor boards. Anyone remember that.
Nice catch. I put ISO mini's on. Really good fit and looks good.
The length was a little short so I just put a small weld on the end so they would stay up. I believe I ordered them from J&P.e4e0d7ae-3c07-47a0-b14f-8511aa548e09.jpg fd4b6cce-9918-4234-9e77-200ada042539.jpg

the mini boards are to small. I was told that Big Dogs use Harley parts , frames ect. Don' know if thats true. But I went to my harley shop , and they were not happy when I mentioned Big Dog , so they may not be allot of help.

That's usually what happens when you go to a Harley shop. I avoid them at all cost.

right floor board.jpg left floor board.jpg It's not about the floor boards fitting. It is about the bracketing needed to mount them. The Vintage Classic models had standard HD type floorboards with custom billet mountings tooled to receive them. When I wore mine out after fifteen years, I went to banana boards to move my position into more of a softail riding stance by taking the billet mounts and cutting them down and having them drilled and threaded to receive a different board. Not complicated at all - but that was because eI was starting with the pieces already and modifying them to receive a new one. Yes, the forward controls will need to be remounted, as well as the rear brake master cylinder. I did not record my mods as I machined them so its hard to explain.
