Wildwood NJ Debacle - UPDATE

This day started out great as me and Staffy (Darius) rode down to check out the Rockstar Custom's grand opening...we also met up with Rutro123 (Ray). What a great time that was and an even better turnout for there grand-opening. My nightmare started once I started heading down to wildwood....we stopped at a gas station to load-up, and I couldn't get my bike to start . I did everything imaginable, checked the circuits, but it just wouldn't start. We jumped started the bike with Ray's Harley, it worked but then the bike just dyed out after about 200 ft. WTF could have happened . I ended up towing the bike to Ray's sister's house, and got a hotel and I waited until Monday to tow the bike to Rockstar. That was my Roar to the shore weekend . And through out this whole ordeal, Rutro123 (Ray) and his girlfriend stayed with me and the wife the whole time, and allowed me to keep my bike at his sister's house until Monday....can a biker ask for a better wing-man :flag:.
My apologies to rest of you I was suppose to call down in Wildwood.

sun, that sounds like a pisser. at least you did have a great wing-man and good company (could have been worse, out there all alone). as soon as you find out what happened to the bike, please post and let everybody know. chuck

Sounds like your battery was dead. Was the circuit breaker poped? Maybe you reset and didn't know it.

Gas,
When you refer to circuit breaker, are you referring to the chip that is attached to the battery tender? If so, then yes we checked and it was broken. What I didn't mention was that bat tender accidentally got chewed up in the belt drive that same day.....should that have anything to do with the bike not starting?

I assume you are talking about the pigtail so that you dont have to lift the seat.
Did you disconnect from battery after ?
You may be grounding out ?

I did not disconnect from the battery afterwards, instead I taped up the end with scotch tape. Will that drain the battery?

You should be able to tell if the tape is discolored then that would be my bet, but I would probably remove/replace the pigtail to be sure.

BDM electronics are verrry sensitive

I was at the opening as well and hoped to ride down to Wildwood with Ray also. However, my chopper is in Rockstar Custom as well for a transmission problem. I'll let you know how I make out with their service.
