I keep the bikes in the man cave and I leave them on trickle chargers. Well I was finished with Skogdog's earbuds and I was going to fire up both bikes and just let them run for a few minutes. The Bigdog went click click click! Damn Battery! Shit!! So I'm off to get a new one tomorrow ! Shit!

I have a battery sitting in my garage that I bought in August on my way back from Sturgis...turned out the problem wasn't my battery, so I had the shop ship me the old one and since it was a better battery, I used it. If you will pay shipping, I'll send it to you. It is the standard Harley battery...think I paid $150 for it. It was only in my bike for a week or less.

I keep the battery on a tender but now only one hour a day using a timer. I've been told (by Dead) that the tenders don't completely shut down and over charge enough to shorten the life of the battery. I started doing this last summer so time will tell, however the batteries were not new when I started. Just something else to play with this magical stuff they call tricity. :)
