I purchased another starter off ebay years ago because I was always breaking jackshafts. I could just R&R the starter and get back to riding again quickly. I recommend you buy another. That would give you time to really have the problem starter looked at.

That's the thing,I have the original 1.4kw,was thinking of a rebuild on it..

Just re read your post,,if I may ask,what the hell was causing the jackshaft's to break ? 117 with no compression release ?

First 7 shafts was due to a poorly machined inner primary case (first 2yrs). The following 4 are due to my own mistakes, rolling while hitting starter, etc etc. As much of a cheap bastard as sheldon coleman was/is, he did have C/R's in the 117's.
