Both good looking bikes Chubs! Here is a picture of my '73 Sportster XLCH (kick start) bought brand new for $2,100. Went thru a lot of different changes and paint jobs and this was the final look.


My wife back in the day when it had a different look, she had her own bike and was a great rider.

$2100 was a lot back then, my first car a 69' Dart in 72' was $1500

Just happened to think, Shannon, the man that owns the building our ambulance is stationed in is named Wright. owns Doug Wright Racing and Promotions. Raced for Honda for a while and had set a record at Bonneville ( probably not standing anymore) His Slogan is" Cars done Wright" . Any relation?

Wright's are as common as Smith and Jones. But unlike Smith and Jones, which were names to hind behind, everybody wanted to be a Wright, because it was my family that chartered the Mayflower. That's what my Grandmama told me anyway.
