This year they started not allowing you to re-register your vehicle If you haven't proof of a valid inspection. Now it's all online so you go in and they inspect pop it in the computer you go home and log on register through Texas website. To be honest nothing to do with the money I'll gladly pay the $50-60 fee just don't waste my time for a fucking tick The box inspection. Yep lights work okay see ya later. Not only that now a lot of stations are not doing the inspection unless you are a customer because there isn't any money in it. So now it's becoming difficult to find a willing party.

A Texas state inspection station cannot refuse to do an inspection if it is within their inspection hours. They will have their license revoked. My father owns an inspection station in El Paso, and I'm a certified inspector(till my license expires).

Thats good to know. Now does an inspection station need a different license between motorcycle or car? In one instance they told me they no longer did motorcycles as well only vehicles.

They do not have to serve all vehicle types. It's not a different license, but an auto shop may not stock the forms or stickers for a motorcycle.

Since its all online now there is no more stickers and the forms are digital now. So it's just the unwilling to do it?

Really I can see why the shop stopped they only make $7 on a motorcycle inspection and they would probably retain liability in the event it was performed inadequately? Not worth the money

Not quite what I said. What I said was that I am not a "wannabe custom bike owner" and proudly have my stickers on. To each their own. BDM's are cool as is in my book and quite frankly the more some are trying to customize them the worse they look. Ever heard of the old saying: "Never change a winning team"?....

Yeah it is, when your done, the other thing I did so no water gets in the exposed holes was to put a layer of 3M clear bra on the back of the mount facing forward, ya don't even see it on there:old2:
