I just got my bike back from the dealer after chroming stuff, new air ride etc and they replaced the speedo for fogging (nothin new). I was riding down the shore the other day and noticed that the new speedo while it hasnt fogged yet has a face that moves up and down 1/8 inch or so under acceleration. Did they forget to tighten something or do I need another speedo? They are already ordering a new air ride gage which leaked all the glycerin out within three days of getting the bike back and now this. :bang: :bang:

Once yo put the speedo inside the bucket with the tach ring around it there is not much room to move but if you look in this picture you will see the bracket the speedo mounts to inside the bucket. It's possible that they didn't tighten it down very well. You can access the bolts from the bottom of the speedo bracket.

Thanks Raywood I 'll give it a look I really dont want to take it back to the dealer if I dont have to as it is I have to tell them not to touch my carb since they always f*** it up when they do.

I understand. It's pretty easy. The speedo is non-adjustable and bolts to the bracket at the two widest mounting holes you see in the pic then that sits inside the bucket. Two bolts go in through the handlebar bracket into the bucket and thread into the inside speedo bracket at the bottom of the Y part of the tab.
