Well it's been 7 days 22 hours and 13 minutes since the Skogg and I left Wichita on the Dog. The ride home was a perfect January day in Kansas and riding the K 9 was as close to heaven as I could get here on earth. The ride, handling, and performance was mind boggling. Since we got home we have had 2 small snows, daytime highs in the 20's-30's so needless to say I haven't done very much riding. Since the weather was so bad I spent some time making it mine. I put a LED headlight in that I had bought from Curtis,switched gas caps and a tool bag. I can't say enough about how good Matt, Brandon, and Jason have been to work with. We are going to have some better weather this weekend so I hope to be able to get another 100 miles on it. The S&S ignition module limits the RPM to 4,000 until it has 10 hrs running time so I hope to get past that point soon. I have a feeling it's going to be a monster when unleashed. I know the feeling, when I got mine, the dealer delivered it in a trailer and pushed it in my garage. I looked at it for a week in the garage before I took it for a ride, I couldn't believe I had one:old2:

Looks badass Rodger! Hopefully you can open her up soon and see whats really under the hood!

Call me crazy, but I'm digging the Harley Primary Cover. The LED headlight is a must for sure! Safe Travels Sir! I was just at Stroker's they had quite a few dogs for sale actually in the showroom no new ones for me to look at unfortunately, someone else posted something from Facebook looks like the first few went to Fury.

I'm lucky enough to own two and what's interesting is the first ride on the second bike wasn't nearly the experience as taking off on a Big Dog for the first time. I don't think I'll ever forgot the feeling of my first ride on a Big Dog. I appreciate them both, but you never forget your first ;)

Here is an update on the new dog. The Skogg my oldest grandson and myself took a trip to Tulsa for lunch yesterday and to see a friend in the hospital. The dog was perfect. We rode 275 miles between 80-90 mph and I have to tell you that is the best big dog I ever owned. 770 miles on it and it is beginning to really run. I averaged 41.9 mpg on the trip and it goes straight as an arrow at any speed you want to run it at. I would recommend that engine, clutch, transmission and tire combination to anyone. More power than you really want for most of the time, the S&S clutch handles everything the engine throws at it, and the Jims transmission seems to be better than the Baker when it comes to down shifting and handling the power. Needless to say I am "perfectly satisfied" with the product, the support from Matt and everyone at BDM. image.jpeg
