Great! You got back to your senses!Changed my mind... I'm keeping it! Actually had someone coming to look at it... A guy from Sarasota whose had five K9s in the past. I took the bike out to blow out the cobwebs, and fell for it all over again! It's that "Ruler of All Living Creatures" thing.

I'm in the same boat although a few more miles than you. I prob have about 3k on the K9 this year (2100 in two trips). And probably about 1,000 maybe 1500 on the ridgid. I like looking at them in the garage and that is worth it to meI agree Franco. I only rode 2,200 miles this year. I think about selling it then I take a look at it and decide if all I can do is look at it so be it!
Gasp! Maybe he rethought keeping it?Looks like your K9 is on EBay.
Yeah... changed my mind again. After reviewing my options for an open belt primary set up (basically baker or none... http://www.bigdogbiker.com/threads/current-pick-for-best-open-primary.74789/ )Gasp! Maybe he rethought keeping it?

I hear you I like the solid colors and just black and chrome is my favorite for sure. I deep down wish my K9 was Black and chrome to match the rigid. Don't tell her that thoYeah... changed my mind again. I've decided that I don't want to keep this bike. I think the paint is cool, but it is not really what I wanted to begin with. It is a little too busy... a little too orange for me. Also, I'm not sure I like the .585... More torque but I feel like it lost too much on the top. I think the original cam may have been better all around. I know I can change back pretty easily (and I might), but I think I'm going to sell it instead of putting the ton of money into it that will be required to make it what I want it to be. I'd need to throw in a bunch more money for a more robust drivetrain set up, put the money in for the .600 cam/head work or 124" motor, and throw down $3-4K on a different paint scheme... something more black.
So... after much rumination and inevitable capitulation, I have decided (yet again) to sell. However, the big difference between the last time and this iteration is that I do not plan to end my tumultuous love affair with Big Dogs. After taking the bike out the last time I planned to sell, I became reconciled to the conclusion that I need a Big Dog in my life. One way or another.
Thus... my plan is to sell, then buy again. I will look for something more akin to my particular tasks, and I will invest the necessary funds into it. I may do another 08, an 09 or 2010 (if they can be found). I am also mulling over seeing what I can do about pulling off a 2016 build... although that is a long shot. If it doesn't sell in awhile, then I'll keep it and go about making it exactly what I want it to be.
So... now's your chance! Who knows when I'll change my mind again! Lol.. JK.
P.s. The bike will be featured in a new book coming out in 2016: Discovering The Motorcycle by Armand Ensanian

I don't mean to offend... Bike looks awesome, just not for me.
. I'm all about the black. All of my work shirts (for my company) are black, my t-shirts are all black, my bikes have always been black... It's just my hair that won't stay black. I'm 39 years old with a sad, sad head full of white hair. People say I look like Guy Fieri
Yeah... If it was just paint I wanted to do, then I would. I have too many expensive plans, so I'd like to start with a more suitable paint job rather then spend for paint on top of that. I'd also like to find a chrome package bike. You could always paint it?
BTW what lifters did you use that made it quieter? My top end is very noisey.
